AZIMUTH PRESS
concept + art direction + design + project management

Azimuth Press is a collective working in fields of visual art and education. We formed it together with Jan Rogalo and Pawel Starzec as a means of organising our interest in those fields. We have years of experience in creating and conducting diverse educational programs and workshops, focusing on visual storytelling and various forms of paper publications.

I’d designed Azimuth Press logo and whole brand identification. While logo translates what we tend to do – giving a formal setting of visual studies a more unhierarchical and non-standard approach, our business cards work on what we’re mostly connected to - photographic books, zines and publications.
Cards, in form of small books, with logo split on the front and third page, hide description of our collective inside, and give all the contact info on the flip side.

Nowsze Topografie - Newer Topographics - was a collective exhibition of photography. Presenting works of number of young polish artists connected to the basic principles of New Topographics movement, who use this approach as their own manner of creating visual narrations and documentary projects.

I’d designed the exhibition poster, corresponding with the whole identification of Azimuth Press collective which was responsible for the exhibition. The center point is a photograph by Paweł Jaśkiewicz, and whole typography surrounds it and subtly underlines it’s character. Together with Pawel Starzec, the curator, I was also responsible for the spatial design of the exhibition.
